Pre-Removal Risk Assessment
PRE-REMOVAL RISK ASSESSMENT
Canada is committed to ensuring that foreign nationals being deported from Canada are not sent to a country where they would be in danger or at risk of persecution. Canada does this by allowing foreign nationals in Canada, who are facing deportation, to apply for a Pre-Removal Risk Assessment (PRRA). If the PRRA application is accepted the foreign national will become a “protected person” and may be eligible to then apply for Canadian permanent residence.
